Sulfurcrested Cockatoo

I lie snowy plumage of this beautiful cockatoo is often soiled, as the bird feeds on the ground in open locations, such as farmers' fields. Large Hocks utter screeching calls as they feed on seeds, buds, leaves, and fruits of plants, also digging up roots, tubers, and bulbs with their bills. They visit trees to roost by night, and to rest in the midday heat.
